The Nail Expert's half moon nail file 180/240 is perfect for roughening up the surface of the natural nail. It is also great for smoothing out unevenness after applying gel, acrylic, poly gel, etc.
This is a critical step in your prepping and is done to ensure that other nail products can adhere properly. Grit 180/240 is optimal for use on the natural nail bed. We do not recommend using a grit lower than this on the natural nail as it can result in brittle and thin nails.
